Having a flipping great time for charity!

Shrove Tuesday, 17th February – also known as Pancake Day – once again saw a team of our sportier colleagues braving the cold to take part in local youth charity London Bubble’s annual fundraising pancake race.

Marta from the bar, Anita from Housekeeping and Hattie from Head Office, joined by John from London Bubble’s Young Theatre Makers project which the event was in aid of, donned their running shoes and jogged over to More London on Tuesday lunchtime where for the next hour they competed against other local businesses in heats including a pancake ingredient hunt, flipping relay race and a head-to-head fastest flipper competition.

Cheered on by a very vocal team from Head Office waving banners and flags in our signature Liberty-print fabric, the aqua shard aces may not have carried off any of the top prizes, but they were certainly our winners at being good sports!

You can help us to support London Bubble’s Young Theatre Makers programme by ordering this week’s special dessert at lunch and dinner. £1 from the sale of every portion of aqua shard pancake flambéed with cassis, maple syrup ice-cream, caramelised pecan nuts and blueberry jam’ dessert will be donated to the charity.
